On November 29, families considering enrolling their children at the International School of Beijing (ISB) will get to see up close what makes an ISB education so special. The campus will host parents and prospective Middle School and High School students from far and wide as our annual Admissions Open House program begins.
We are inviting families to come and learn about ISB's challenging curriculum and innovative teaching practices in grades 6 to 12 next month. Meet our Head of School, Mr. Patrick Hurworth, learn more about our High School and college guidance programs, and hear first-hand accounts from a student panel. A presentation from our Middle School Principal will follow the High School program. Families will also have the opportunity to tour following each divisional discussion.
The event will demonstrate ISB's history of excellence spanning almost 40 years, and how our Mission, Vision, and Core Values are fulfilled by passionate, highly qualified educators who all want the best for every student.
Research-based programs and outstanding facilities mean students at ISB are being prepared for success in this fast-changing world. The school enjoys a track record of excellent learning outcomes, with graduates attending colleges around the world which are most appropriate for them. At the same time, our commitment to realizing student potential is built on nurturing the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of each child. ISB programs equip students to be productive, healthy, fulfilled young adults, whatever future they choose.

ISB has welcomed hundreds of families to Open Houses since first offering these events in 2016-2017.
"The admissions process at ISB is child-centered and family friendly," said Admissions Director Tina Herman. "We respect the fact that choosing your child's next school is a very important and personal decision for families. Events like ISB's Open Houses offer families the opportunity to interact directly with a wide range of community members including members of our leadership team, teachers, students, and members of the admissions team. There is no better way to learn about a school than to meet its community members at an event such as this."
There will be more Open Houses later in the academic year, including for those interested in the Elementary School. Space is limited, so any families wanting to take advantage of this opportunity should see the ISB website to sign up or for more information.
