As we near the end of the 40th anniversary year of the International School of Beijing (ISB), this video produced to launch the celebrations remains evocative evidence of the school’s four decades of challenging and joyful learning.
Packed with photos and archive material, it tells the story of how ISB grew from eight students and two certified teachers in the hallway of a diplomatic apartment compound to become a leader in international education. Alumni were happy to give their testimonies for the video of what ISB means to them.
Throughout 2020-2021, this Monday Memory series of articles has provided the backstories to many of the old ISB photos that feature in the video. We hope you’ve enjoyed the Monday Memories. Missed any of them? Check out the news feed on the Celebrating 40 web page.
