How can I place my child on the waiting list?
We use a wait pool of students who meet our admissions criteria. A student can be placed in the wait pool after their application has been reviewed by the admissions committee. In times of limited places, siblings of enrolled students who have completed the application process prior to March 15 of the intended year of entry will be given priority. Students will then be admitted in accordance with our Admissions policies.

What are the demographics of the student body?
ISB boasts approximately 1,700 students representing more than 50 nationalities. On average, 45 percent of our students hold U.S. passports; 13 percent are from China-Hong Kong, China-Taiwan, or China-Macao; 12 percent are from South Korea; 9 percent are from Canada; 3 percent are from Australia; and 3 percent are from Singapore. The remaining 15 percent represent more than 40 countries.
How do you select my child's teacher?
Our counselors work with principals and teachers to create balanced classrooms. In the Elementary School, students are placed into class groups based on their learning personalities, gender, former teacher recommendations, individual strengths, and the diversity of the class. Our counselors and principals make the final decisions regarding classroom assignments in order to create the best learning environment for all our students.
Our Middle School and High School students will have a different teacher assigned for each subject and placement is based on level, schedule and student makeup of classes.
